Persons unvaccinated by choice to pay for COVID-19 medical bills

Unvaccinated persons make up the majority of those who require inpatient care and disproportionately contribute to a strain on our healthcare. Therefore, COVID-19 patients who chose not to be vaccinated will have to pay for their medical bills from 8 December 2021.

Minister for Health Ong Ye Kung also updated that the Home Recovery Programme response time and waiting time for telemedicine consultations have improved.

He was speaking at the Multi-Ministry Taskforce Press Conference on 8 November 2021.
