We seem to be living in an upside-down world, where the three branches of government have not yet come into proper alignment after the destruction and deconstruction of the Trump years. We are seeing a legislative branch that is investigating the crimes of Donald Trump and his co-conspirators and announcing that they have enough evidence to conclude that Trump committed crimes against the United States. We are seeing the judicial branch - through the statements and rulings of multiple federal judges - announcing that Donald Trump committed crimes against the United States. But we have yet to see or hear anything from the executive branch, the only branch that can actually indict and prosecute Trump for the crimes the other two branches of government have concluded he committed.
