Crowd panic at Houston music festival leaves several dead | DW News

In the United States, at least eight people have died in a crowd surge during the opening night of the Astroworld music festival in Houston, Texas. Many others were injured.
Rescuers transported 17 people to the hospital, including 11 who were in cardiac arrest. The surge broke out while rapper Travis Scott was performing. Houston fire chief Samuel Pena said the incident began when fans surged toward the stage.
