Relating to the Gabby Petito Body Cam Video - My Story and Why Survivors Panic or Take the Blame

*Note: This is not an analysis of the Gabby Petito / Brian Laundrie body cam footage video. Despite my own opinions, I am also not here making a case for what I believe happened. I did, however, relate personally to many of the behavioral dynamics shown in the video. It brought up old memories of interacting with police when bystanders called with concerns over me and my ex. It also spotlighted commonalities shared by victims of abuse, and their partners, that I felt important to discuss — regardless of this case.
