New South Wales Premier Gladys Berejiklian says every state has "its own course and journey” amid criticism the government should have imposed a harder and faster lockdown.
“I think it’s important to note that every state has had its own course and journey during the pandemic,” Ms Berejiklian said.
She said she appreciates people wanting to “make comparisons" with Victoria but each state deals with the pandemic differently.
“It’s also important to note that every state has had its own course, every state has had its own history of how they’ve dealt with the pandemic."
"It’s fair to say that until this point in time, we had our citizens leading a relatively free life as well as staying safe."
