In Western media, heroes typically move from left to right, while bad guys move from the right side to the left side of the screen. Since we read from left to right, movement in that direction feels natural. But the clone soldiers were often animated to move from right to left, setting up the fact that the clones and the Republic would eventually become the Galactic Empire.
