DINAGAT IS DEVASTATED. And the most remote places, like Sitio Maytubig in Barangay Bayanihan of Libjo, are finding it very difficult to rebuild simply because it is so difficult to bring in supplies.
It's a one hour boat trip - and they've lost most of their boats. 54 of their ~75 boats were totally destroyed during the storm, which is a big problem in a community that relies on the water as its only access, and on fishing as its source of income.
Today, we travel there with some supplies that Kulas and NORMMS were able to bring along with generous donations from around the world, and I examine the situation, discovering that the lack of pumpboats is a big, big problem for the people there.
Then after becoming Kumander of the "Way Tsinelas Squad" we travelled back to Albor (central Libjo), and there was a heartwarming moment with the local children!
