As the Montgomery County Council and County Executive review the draft Thrive Montgomery 2050 Plan and residents weigh-in, we will examine County plans to augment housing supply with a wide range of diverse housing types that also promote racial and economic diversity and equity in housing in every neighborhood. You will hear firsthand from Planning Board Chair, Casey Anderson and Council President Tom Hucker. Also joining the panel, Dan Reed, Urban planner, and writer will share his community perspective, and Jenny Schuetz, Senior Fellow at the Brookings Institution will share her expertise in urban economics and housing policy informed by her knowledge of how other states and communities have tackled housing challenges.
