Was rising damp treatment actually needed. This takes you a through the survey, cause, and repair

Drains are a common cause of damp issues, and this is why it was very important a CCTV drain survey was carried out to find the root cause of rising damp. A bridged damp proof is also a common defect that also needs to be eliminated. It isn't unusual for multiple problems that can contribute to rising damp issues, as in this case. The bridging was removed, along with plaster repairs, concrete cutting from within the drain, root cutting/removal from within the drain, drain lining/patching to prevent further roots entering via displaced joints. As you can imagine the client was very happy, as the defects were exposed on the survey so they knew now what the actual cause was. They were also happy and confident that the damp repairs I specified to offer a long term solution would work.
Please note if you do require a damp survey, I don't offer non invasive or non intrusive damp surveys as these are a waste of time.
