Ten Day Forecast: Are We Setting Up A Very Hot September?

Hello everyone and thanks for tuning in to today's video. We're going to look at the weather for the next ten to fourteen days for this video. Day ten will take us to the fourteenth of September and we'll be able to extend out beyond that with the extended GFS and ECM ensembles (they run to around a couple of weeks) - We'll have a look at the CFS V2 for the next four weeks taking us to the start of October.

High pressure will dominate the weather for the next few days and a change in wind direction from the north east to the south east mean we should start to see some sunny spells breaking through by the start of next week

Later next week the weather turns hot but thunderstorms might push in from the west. By the second weekend of September ex-hurricane Larry will be in the north Atlantic with a range of possible impacts for the UK and Ireland with anything from hot and sunny weather to cooler and wetter conditions possible... today's GFS operational runs in particular are looking very hot even into the second half of the month... could we be setting up a very hot September?
