Amidst the ongoing situation, India is wary and watchful, and now the country is monitoring the Taliban’s actions. However, Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla said that Pakistan has “supported and nurtured the Taliban”, adding that India and the United States are closely watching its actions in Afghanistan. In this regard, during the debate, Shehzad, Political Analyst, puts some light and says, 'This is neither engagement nor endorsement. It is an extraction of a commitment (Talks between India & Taliban). Whereas, Abhishek Sudhir, Advocate & Political Analyst blames the government and says, 'The problem with Govt’s policy is its inconsistency. First, they said we won’t talk to Taliban and now they are talking to them'.
