THEIR OPINION & APPROVAL DOESN'T MATTER | THEY ARE NOT GOD | Powerful Motivational Video

Life is full of people trying to find their communities. Their families if you will. They are looking for people to share passions, dreams, and motivations with. People to live and experience life with. People to interact with and share some of their lives perspectives with.

That struggle to belong, to be part of a family, to be part of something bigger drives us to form bonds, to connect and interact with people of different backgrounds. As we go out and interact with people, we choose them and we start to want desperately for them to choose us too. To make us a priority in their lives as we have made them, more often than not, however, seeking this validation leaves us hurt and vulnerable.

Hi everyone, in today's video we will be discussing the fact that God chose you, and while other people may have different ideas and opinions, and may even reject and scorn you only God's opinion matters. It is important to realize that when you're rejected, when you're the outsider, the outcast, there is someone who always has wide open arms waiting for you because He has chosen you, long before you were born.

“Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations.”
Jeremiah 1:5 NIV

He has given up so much to get you and keeps waiting patiently for you to look His way. God has laid down the framework for a relationship with you because He wants you and has chosen you for His purposes on earth, even before you were born, even before the idea of you ever existed amongst human beings. The apostle Paul emphasizes this in the book of Ephesians.

"For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will"
Ephesians 1:4‭-‬5 NIV‬‬‬

These aren't just words. They aren't just empty expressions. These are words of assurance and promise from God passed down from centuries upon centuries down to us. They are as true today as they have ever been.

God has chosen you. And He continues to choose you every day.

The world may reject you.
The world won't always understand you. People won't always understand you. And that's OK.

We are surrounded by people we look up to, people we love care, and cherish. These people we have grown up with, and we want them to understand us. Sometimes it isn't the people we grew up with but people we've met and grown accustomed to. And when we choose these people, we want them to accept us. To like us for who we are and what we bring to the interaction. For that, we start to work hard, start to make changes and improve, make choices to be better people in those friendships we are in. However, for some reason, we might get rejected. We might be treated like we don't belong. Like we are on the outside looking in. We might be made to feel like we aren't part of the group. We just don't fit it.

And in these situations, it can be the loneliest thing in the world.

In these times, God's promises hold the most weight.

God has promised to leave the ninety-nine in search of us when we are lost (Matthew 18:12–14). He gave His only son, to save us. This not only gives His words credibility but shows that they were meant for us.

Sometimes the world rejects us for our beliefs. The fact you believe in Jesus Christ and are seeking salvation through Him means there will be people who will reject you. There will be people who can't stand the idea of salvation through Jesus Christ. And they will react accordingly. Sometimes friends will decide that your expression of faith is inconvenient and people will try to ridicule you for your views.

In these moments we have to remember that God promises to be with us when the world abandons us. When the world judges for our faith, God promises to give us a clean slate. In the book of Matthew, in chapter 5; Jesus gives us more perspective on what it means to be persecuted. To Jesus, when you are persecuted, the doors open for more of God’s blessings.

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Matthew 5:10 NIV"

This is even more true in today's world than ever before. Social media has made our world a global village. It has connected us in many ways and separated us in many more ways as well. It's commonplace to find people online making fun of Christians now for their belief in an online space. It's common to find people with opinions and ideas that are just created and voiced to break you down.
