Join me for a tour of the bottle dumps in the Manchester area searching for forgotten treasures hidden deep in the mud. When you are hunting for lost and discarded artefacts in the mud - time stands still. I had a great day with Mick and Sarah of @Mudlarking With Docking bay 51 and they took me to some wonderful places near Manchester, where we spent hours searching for lost and once treasured belongings. Seeing these broken bits and pieces scattered around like faded memories always reminds me how precious life is and it's hard not to think about who these objects might have belonged to at some point in the past.
Please go and check out @Mudlarking With Docking bay 51 . Mick and Sarah have a great channel and it is guaranteed to lift your spirits and make you smile. They find some lovely objects and Sarah does a lot of crafting too.
In the video I also talk about the Totally Thames festival. The website is here. Check out all the amazing events - some of which are online so accessible to all:-
