
Making a new depth guage for a pillar drill. The large hole will be clamped around the quill, The small hole will be tapped for a large bolt (M10) and an indictator flag will be attached that will read against a measuring scale on the drill body. The slotted tab will be drill and tapped for an M4 bolt to hold the clamp closed around the quill.
The cutter was a single flute carbide cutter of 1/4" in size. It was running at 18,000 RPM and the stepdown was 0.2mm witha stepover of 50%. The plunge rate was 250mm per minuted and the feed rate was 500mm per minute.
